Actually the dresses are made out for waste carry bags….or better to say garbage. Plastic Bags are the biggest headache for environmental scientists. There is no way to destroy them completely or reuse them effectively. But sometimes young minds can create what experienced minds cannot even think of.
Casey Hansel is only 18 years old and a freshman at Lehigh University. She has designed amazing dresses, shoes and purses out of carry-bags, bottle caps, balloons, caution tape, newspaper and pull tabs, and more. Stuffs which we hate to think about reuse or recycle. Even being the outcome of waste materials, they don’t look like a heap of garbage… that’s beautiful too. It’s the result of dedicated planning and knitting. That’s quite inspiring!
